Meeting Information

The club's concept is a "BYO wine" based concept, so the majority of the functions are based in member's homes, BYO format. See Meeting Schedule (below) for full listing of regular meetings and themes.

Meeting Guidelines

What to bring:

  • If you are coming alone: one bottle of wine, priced in the range listed.
  • If you are part of a couple: either one or two bottles of wine, totaling 2 times the range listed (ie one expensive bottle or 2 priced the same or any variation is acceptable)
  • Some information on the wine and or winery; a review, info from a website, etc. (more than just what's on the bottle)
  • Your own wine glasses
  • Your own snacks/dishes to eat them on
  • A pen and notepad to jot down notes (you may also download our tasting notes)
  • Of course, be respectful of the host's home and belongings- throw away your trash right away, put the toilet seat down, etc.
  • Please RSVP ASAP, and make sure to update if your availability changes, as we limit attendance. ($5 cancellation fee if no show or cancel with less than 48 hours notice)

We also have additional events, such as pairing dinners and vertical tastings, (usually limited to very involved members), wine tastings at stores, visits to bars or restaurants, etc.  See below for some events, in addition to our regular meeting schedule.

April-  More than Chianti

Italian Reds, other than Chianti, $15-20/person

 

May-Home on the Rhone

Wines from Rhone, $10-20/person

 

June-Celebrate!

Chardonnay and sparkling wines, $10-15/person

 

July-Hot and Dry

Your favorite hot weather wine (red or white) $10-15/person

 

August-It's a Zoo on the Red Carpet

Celebrity owned/run wineries or wines with animals on the label, $10-20/person

 

September- Cabernet with a passport,

Cabernet from anywhere but the US, $15-20/person

 

October- Tastin blind!

Annual blind tasting, wine provided, $25/person

 

November- Let’s charge it!

Full bodied, big reds. $35/person

 

December-Santa’s Red Bag of Grapes

Red blends, $15-20/person
